Luke 10:27 says, “He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.” These are the words of Elizabeth Barrett Browning in her famous poem.

Ephesians 1:21 tells us that He is “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”

Psalms 86:5 says, You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

I have heard it said love is not a feeling. But if that is true then what is the strong emotion I feel for my husband and children? How do we define that?

1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he who fears is not perfected in love.

The problem is our love is not perfect. However, it could be if we allowed Jesus’ love to flow through us.
