To get in shape physically let’s face it, it takes perseverance and flat out pain sometimes. But if I want to be completely fit - I must remember no pain – no gain! I go to a trainer two times a week for thirty minutes which frankly isn’t fun, to me, but I really like my trainer. The only thing is she seems happy when I am sore because she says that she knows the exercises are working that way.
Spiritually, trials of life work the same way. James 1 says we should, “consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds because the testing of our faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that we will be mature and complete not lacking anything.
Sometimes I wish it could be easier, but then again our Father always knows best! I, like you, maybe, find it hard to consider trials of this life as joyful. But in the end, I will forever be fit, complete and mature.
Today, let’s thank God together for trials that come our way, because we know we are going to radiate God’s glory when He gets finished with our training!
And there you go.
